The hotel is in a convenient location for touring Scotland, placed perfectly between John O'Groats and Wick. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated, but the shared bathroom and toilet setup felt a bit outdated. The service was pleasant, though not overly engaging. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially with helpful staff accommodating our early schedule. The hotel provides a nice base for exploring the 500 mile coastal route, close to John O'Groats and Gill's Bay.

The hotel is okay and clean, facing the main street in the village with a blinking streetlight outside the window, but it didn't interfere with my sleep. The hotel provides a rich breakfast prepared at the moment, with a pub in the basement open until late. The facilities were well-maintained, and the price was worth the value for the hospitality received.
